The Top and Bottom Ten

Thu Jan 1, 2009, 5:34 AM
I DIDN'T WISH TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES!

It's 2009 (incase you're so secluded or comatose that you didn't notice), and I bring you...ten things I hated about last year.

1. Heath Ledger's death
2. The Twilight movie
3. The recession and all that comes with it
4. All the shit my friends suffered at the hands of their parents (you know who you are)
5. My dad going bonkers
6. Sarah Palin
7. The Happy Meal (aka Palin with an eating disorder)
8. Every natural disaster
9. Having my wisdom teeth removed
10. He who O.D.'d

And as a balance, ten things I loved.

1. Barack Obama won!! :heart:
2. Pretty much every moment I spent with Claire :glomp:
3. All the cool movies I bootlegged/rented/caught on PBS
4. Going to see The Birthday Massacre and getting my hair stuck in Chibi's pigtails
5. The Dark Knight
6. My wonderful library card
7. Portland
8. Finally dying my hair black
9. Tina Fey
10. Did I mention The Dark Knight? (And the Joker?)

Send in your own! And...for major lulz, check out my webcam section.

Shuffle Time!

Thu Nov 6, 2008, 6:53 PM
WHAT ELSE COULD I DO?

You all know the routine; whenever one of my journal entries becomes ridiculously out-dated, I do a shuffle playlist. And considering that the election is over and Obama is on his way to the Oval Office (*SQUEAL!!!*), the last entry has got to go. So...without further interruption...life on shuffle. Feel free to do one too and send me your own results.

~~~
Opening Credits: 'What Do You Do With a B.A. in English/It Sucks to Be Me' - Avenue Q
(Somewhere out there, my mother is laughing her ass off and purchasing a shovel big enough to load everything of mine out onto the curb, me included)
Waking up: 'Fire With Fire' - The Gossip
(This could either be interpretted as me striving to make everyone else as miserable as I am in the morning, or my friend Noah constantly insisting that I am Satan and I wake up in Hell)
First day of college: 'Tell Me Lies' - Natalie Cole
(I still don't believe that college is going to be so great, and nobody's managed to convince me otherwise)
Falling in love: ' Pulling Your Insides Out' - Jill Tracy
(I just don't know how to handle my emotions!)
Kiss scene: 'Mata Hari' - The Atomic Fireballs
(Mata Hari is apparently, according the lyrics, the queen of night and makes you want to scream and curse. That's one hell of a smokin' kiss if you ask me)
Fight Song: 'Complicated' - The Cliks
(It took us 4 and a half weeks to film it and my co-star broke his nose and two fingers, but I think it got its point across)
Breaking up: 'My Leftovers' - Porcelain and the Tramps
(Is this supposed to refer to the former significant others?)
Graduating college: 'Girl All The Bad Guys Want' - Bowling For Soup
(They just love a girl who didn't go; it means they're the intellectually dominant ones, even when they're wrong)
My big break: 'Lucy' - Anna Tsuchiya
(It's short for Lucifer, pathetic mortals)
Mental breakdown: 'American Psycho' - My Ruin
(Time to channel my inner Christian Bale. Wait, he kind of sucks...make that inner Jack Nicholson. Now where's my ax...?)
Driving song: 'The Button Has Been Pushed' - Stolen Babies
(Oh crap. You know how in television and movies, there's always a really cool car with a button you should never ever push lest something bad happens, and some idiot always pushes it and something bad happens? Thank god I don't drive. It's someone else's problem now.)
FlashBack: 'Not Good Enough' - Anti-Hero
(Just reflecting on my inferiority. Again.)
Getting back together: 'Unclean' - Otep (Oh, I get it, the significant other I broke up with became a junkie in my abscence and now I have to clean them up. Or maybe the other way around. Meh.)
Wedding: ' Pictures Of You' - The Cure
(Boy, that's one hell of a wedding photographer we got)
Birth of child: 'Lose Control' - Evanescence
(Well...have you ever met a woman who kept it together while giving birth to a bowling ball?)
Paying dues: 'Necklace' - Hannah Fury
(Why is it made of rope? Come here and I'll explain...)
Moment of triumph: 'Imaginary' - Evanescence
(Nothing like delusions of grandeur to get you through the bitter side-effect of life called reality)
Final battle: 'Stumpside' - Rasputina
(Man, my epic battles take place in the lamest places)
Death scene: 'Brand New Love' - Deadsy
(...so I take it my significant other isn't going to be that sad after I croak, huh?)
Funeral scene: 'Eyee' - Smashing Pumpkins
('Darling, did you hear a disgruntled sound coming from the coffin?''It was probably the wind';)
End credits: 'Move Along' - The All-American Rejects
(Nobody's really taking my demise very seriously, are they?)
Politics and So Forth
Sat Aug 30, 2008, 6:51 AM
THIS IS IMPORTANT AND YOU KNOW IT
See this? THIS ---> [link] <---- THIS, my friends, is that little thing I've been nagging about for some time now. It's Barack Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention. I want everyone to watch it, and show it to everyone they know, whether they're voting for him, against him, or not at all. This is really important to me because, quite frankly, if McCain becomes president, then I'm packing my bags and moving to Canada, and I kind of LIKE living here. It's my responsibility as a voter for the first time in my life to give everybody hell about this. So if you're sick of hearing about Obama, well, it's nothing personal, the country just kind of NEEDS him. So watch the video. And vote, god damn it. I remember what it was like to be underage and find out the wrong guy won, and to be furious because if me and my friends had been given the opportunity, our votes might have mattered. Let's not make the same mistakes this time, okay?
JUST SO YOU KNOW....
Guess who turned 18 today? And for that matter, guess who would be super-special-chocolaty-fudge-coated happy if my amazing fans and friends would draw me fanart to show some love? Or at least more than I usually get?
Not that I'll be expecting it. Much. *Cough*
