| Happy Halloween, ladies...BWAHAHAHAHA... |
| The most recent attempts at nursing the creative impulse. Naturally, everything I create is inferior to what came before it. |
| Somehow, I just can't ever find enough ways to show my distaste for the series. |
![]() So my new hobby has been digging through my constantly growing music collection to make playlists for the books I'm reading. And naturally, being the huge nerd I am, I decided to spread the love to the web. And I encourage everyone to recommend books for me to make playlists for. This way, you might be in for some good music or a good book or both. Or just a chance to feel smug about how much better your taste in music is. TODAY'S PLAYLIST: ![]() The Hunger Games (2008) by Suzanne Collins This book was recommended by ~Ayame-sensei. I've been avoiding it up till now for two reasons; 1, it's an obvious rip-off of the (in my opinion) superior 'Battle Royale', and 2, it's one of those books that no one cared about until Stephenie Meyer mentioned she was enjoying it (I swear, that woman's a book club away from being the white Mormon Oprah). But thankfully, this is a reasonably good book and quite the page-turner, and in a nice change from the usual teen novels I read, I really liked the main character. So Ayame, this one's for you; 1. ‘Welcome Home’ - Coheed and Cambria 2. ‘All That I’m Living For’ - Evanescence 3. ‘The Beautiful People’ - Marilyn Manson 4. ‘The Howling’ - Within Temptation 5. ‘Hunter's Kiss’ - Rasputina 6. ‘Sulfur’ - Slipknot 7. ‘Nemesis’ - Arch Enemy 8. ‘I’m So Sick’ - Flyleaf 9. ‘Life Tomorrow’ - Daisy Chainsaw 10. ‘Tick Tick Boom’ - The Hives 11. ‘The Kill’ - The Dresden Dolls 12. ‘Let It Rain’ - My Ruin 13. ‘Media C-Section’ - Jack Off Jill 14. ‘Run Like Hell’ - Kittie 15. ‘Fattest Thin’ - Humanwine 16. ‘My Only Friend’ - Deadsy 17. ‘Battle Ready’ - Otep 18. ‘Non Je Ne Regretted Rien’ - Edith Piaf |

Because I fall in love with and get bored of things at the speed of light, this section is devoted to whatever it is that I'm totally digging while I still dig it! Bring it on! Bryan Smith You know, in my struggle to culture myself and sit through a few classics or works that are supposed to make you use your brain, there is always a strong impulse in there, dressed in combat boots and a biker jacket, demanding to be satiated with pulpy, gorey, bloody, ultra-violent non-stop mayhem. Many of us have that side to us, which is frequently exploited by movie makers with the occasional Tarantino epic or Bruce Willis fill-in-the-blanks. And this is where Bryan Smith comes in. Forget the familiar, wholesome characters who take a turn onto the wrong street. There are no victims in his books. There's only 100% bloodthirsty, sex-obsessed, batshit crazy people who just happen to be thrown into circumstances where there are plenty of guns, women, and booze, and things that just scream, 'Disembowel me and blow me up'. Happy endings? Bah. Morals? Don't make me laugh. Mr. Smith makes Tarantino look like John Hughes. |

I do not accept Jesus Christ as my personal savior. If I did, I'd be FIRED, I'd be SUED, and I'd have to say goodbye to ALL THIS GOOD STUFF
Not that your work makes me suicidal. I could just sort of picture Jenna hanging out in that dorm of fellow dead teenagers.
